OVERVIEW
Projection mapped short film that depicts a friendly animated creature, The Caretaker, and its pursuit to nourish the streets of downtown Calgary through a 3 stage act of Past, Present, and Future.
Projected onto the BMO / GoodLife Building on Stephen Ave, Calgary.
For the 2024 Chinook Blast winter festival in downtown Calgary, the Downtown Association commissioned a captivating projection mapping project on the exterior of the BMO building. The primary goal was to create an immersive and visually stunning experience that reflected the festival's spirit and showcased Calgary's cultural vibrancy.
Despite the challenges of harsh winter conditions and the building's architectural features, our team developed dynamic visuals, showcasing a 3 story act about a character named the "Caretaker" taking care of the building. High-lumen projectors and weatherproof enclosures ensured bright, clear images, while meticulous planning ensured perfect alignment with the building's surface. The result was a resounding success, engaging thousands of attendees, boosting social media reach, fostering community pride, and attracting visitors, thereby supporting local businesses. This project demonstrated the transformative power of art and technology, making Chinook Blast 2024 a standout event.
